History

snapper-pierson-morley-fieldFor those of you who do not know, Morley Field Disc Golf course was established in 1978 by Snapper Pierson, who is a course pro and Disc Golf Hall of Fame member. Morley Field, located in the heart of America’s Finest City is one of the world’s original disc golf courses and one of (if not #1) the busiest courses in the world. Located just within a few miles from San Diego International Airport, San Diego Harbor, Coronado beaches and downtown, we are not surprised!

Course Overview

morleyfieldisc

This course is open to the public from dusk till dawn, and overall is a shorter course with with a few lengthy holes. The course also features a beautiful southern California landscape with Mach III baskets and concrete tee pads. This is a challenging course with lots of trees and pin placements. Pin positions change each Monday and there are 3-6 positions for each hole.

Teams

The team makeup will remain the same as the last year with 5 open, 4 masters, 2 grand and one woman. Changes from the previous years include changing the playing formula so all the teams play their traveling partner in the 5th round. This way, the play continues and there is no need to come in, reorganize and go back out.
